Deseret News, The (Salt Lake City, UT) — Tuesday, July 27, 1993
Judy Jacobsen Theurer, 45, passed away peacefully at home July 26, 1993 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Born November 29, 1947 in Salt Lake City to Thomas C. and Marjorie G. Sutton Jacobsen. Judy married Henry A. Theurer on June 8, 1972 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She graduated form the University of Utah and worked several years with the U. Alumni Association.

Judy devoted her life to her family. She always had a smile for everyone and was a loving and caring person. She would happily drop everything to help someone else. We will all remember that "Judy Smile." We love you, Mom.

Judy was an active member of the LDS Church and worked honorably all of her life in the service of her Heavenly Father. She held many positions in the Relief Society and the Primary. She had a special talent for music and especially loved children's songs.

Judy is survived by her husband, Ty; children, Heidi, Matthew, Kimberly, and Robert. She is also survived by her parents; sister, Jan Amundsen (Mat); and brothers, Chris (Julie), Craig (Marcia), and Russell (Kathy) Jacobsen; as well as her in-laws, Henry A. and Ruth E. Theurer; sister-in-law, Kris (Jay) Stone, and brothers-in-law, Brian (Mejken), Craig (Carol), and Richard Theurer.

The family wishes to thank the many friends, neighbors, and care givers, who devoted so much time and support during the many months of Judy's illness.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 29, at 12 noon, at the Yalecrest 2nd Ward, 1035 So. 1800 East. Friends are invited to call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive, on Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and at the ward Thursday, 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.

"I never said it would be easy. I only said it would be worth it."
