Linda Green (Morrison)

Good friend and rival at times from elementary school to competing for 9th grade cheerleaders. Enjoyed her lip singing of Elvis and others in 6th grade. She always was creative and entertaining. Worked with her for 10 years at the Heather in SL. She had a lot of energy and I always liked her. Last I heard of her she had remarried Don Young and moved to Las Vegas. Was waitressing there and am sure making people happy and making lots of money. At that time she had one daughter.

LYNDA  PINDER YOUNG

Lynda Pinder Young 1948 ~ 2011 Lynda Pinder Young, 63 of LasVegas, Nevada, went to be with the Lord, June 20, 2011. She was also joined with the love of her life, her husband, Donald E. Young, who preceded Lynda in death, January 17, 2011. Lynda was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, April 4, 1948, to Robert and Virginia Pinder of Park City, Utah. Lynda left behind a beautiful and loving daughter, Ragan Koran, and devoted son-in-law, Jim Koran; also Lexie, her only granddaughter, who was the light of her life. Lynda also had a dear, close friend who was by her side when she was needed, Susan Tsukamoto. They met while attending college (SUSC, now SUU), in Cedar City, Utah. Lynda graduated from Skyline High School in Salt Lake City. During her high school years, Lynda had one of the leading rolls in the Musical, "The Boyfriend". She was also the vocalist in a band called, "The Invaders". They were the opening act at Lagoon with well known bands in their day, some of which were, "The Rolling Stones", "The Everly Brothers", "Herman & The Hermits", to name a few. In college, she danced, performing at different events with her "Modern Dance Group". After she and Don were married, and Ragan was very young, they moved to Las Vegas, Nev., in 1973. During her life in Las Vegas, she joined another band, as the vocalist, called "Lynda and The Main Street Band". She felt this was interfering with her family, and began a new career, with the encouragement of her friend, Susan. She worked as a teacher's aide for special needs children. She touched the lives of many children, and was "gifted" in making a positive difference in many of their lives. Her "kids", as she called them, adored Lynda, lovingly calling her, "Miss Lynda". She brought sunshine and laughter into their lives, like she did everyone who ever knew her. The time she spent with her "kids", brought her the greatest joy and sense of fulfillment she had ever experienced; second only to her family. Not only will Lynda have a loving reunion with her husband, and best friend of 39 years; but also with her younger brother, Nelson Pinder: her grandparents, Millard and Winnifred Nelson, who loved and nurtured her; Leonard and Melba Pinder, grandparents; her Uncle, Keith Joseph, who shared in her humor; along with three special great aunts: Aunt Ruby McMullin, Aunt Annabel! Hales, and Aunt Elsie Hales. They are all so happy with her in their arms! Lynda is also survived by the rest of her heartbroken family: her mom and dad; her brother, John Pinder; sister, Jenny Pinder Dudleston; uncle, Jim Nelson (Linda); aunt, Beverly Joseph; niece, nephews and many cousins. Lynda was truly our "Sunshine Girl", who will always be loved, and never forgotten, by her family and many friends. One of whom is Linda Thompson, who was a true (and one of Lynda's closest) friends, along with Susan Tsukamoto, who gave the Eulogy in honor of Lynda's life. She also had many lifelong friends in Salt Lake City. Lynda's memorial services, celebration of her life, and interment, were held in Las Vegas, Nevada, June 26, 2011. "Funny, funny Lynda! What will we ever do without you?"
