Jerrie Annette Brewer Hofeling
1948-2025

Millcreek, Utah-Jerrie Annette Brewer Hofeling passed away at her home in Millcreek, Utah, on June 2, 2025, following a 7-8 year battle with Multiple System Atrophy. She was born on February 7, 1948. 

Jerrie graduated from Skyline High School in 1966. On November 7, 1969, she married Gene Hofeling. Later, she earned a degree in Environment and Behavior from Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah.

Her career included roles in waitressing, hospitality, retail, and bookkeeping. She worked at Salt Lake Costume Company, Pewter by Ricker, and Morgan Jewelers. Jerrie retired after 18 years with CTA Supports.

Jerrie volunteered for The Community Action Program, The Holiday Project, and The League of Women Voters. After retirement, she and Gene tutored students at Stansbury Elementary.

Jerrie is survived by her husband, Gene Hofeling; sister, Sue Parker; children, Kirk Hofeling, Jen Hofeling, Em Hofeling Tinsley (Karen), and Ryan Hofeling; grandchildren, Jason Byron Lemmon (AmandaRae) and Justine Johnson (Matt); great-grandchild, Emily Gayle Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Robert W. Brewer; mother, Emily Ruth Nelson Brewer; and siblings, Bob N. Brewer, Pat Ruth Brewer, and Bruce J. Brewer.

We will celebrate Jerrie's life on June 21 from 6 0m ro 10 pm in the Activity Barn at Wheeler Farm, 6351 South 900 East, Murray, Urah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
