Galen Smith Christensen

June 9,1948 ~ January 29, 2008

Galen was born to Lynn and Margaret Christensen on June 9th, 1948. He married Debra Neaderhiser on December 10, 1977. Galen worked as an Ironworker out of Local 27 until he retired.

Galen took up woodworking, making and painting seasonal decorations, bowls, and windmill ducks for all. He was always ready to crack a joke to bring a smile to everyone's face.

Galen was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret and brother, Gary.  He is survived by his father, Lynn Christensen; brother, Lynn Christensen, Jr. (Shirley); wife, Debbie Christensen; son, Shane Christensen (Tanya Spangler); four grandchildren, Harley, Dakota, Sierra, and Cheyenne; and sister-in-law, Linda Christensen. We all love you Dad.

Memorial services will be held Friday, Feb. 1, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 S. Highland Drive, Salt Lake City; will be a visitation one hour prior to the service at Wasatch Lawn.
