Paul Vern Swenson passed away February 4, 2017, one day before his 70th birthday, in Yuma, Arizona.
Paul attended Skyline High School (class of 1966), where he met his high school sweetheart, Mary Knecht. Paul and Mary were married in 1967, and spent 49 1/2 wonderful years together. They became parents of two children, a daughter and a son.
Paul entered the air force in 1967. He served a total of four years, with one year in Viet Nam. He graduated from LDS Business College, and made a 29-year career with Questar. Paul then worked another seven years for EG&G as a government contractor.
Paul and Mary resided in Sandy, Utah for many years. They also purchased a second home in Yuma, Arizona, where they spent their post-retirement winters.
A private service for the Swenson family will be held at Camp Williams, where Paul's ashes will be laid to rest with military honors.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Mary, and their two children.
