School Story
I have many fond memories of high school. I had a lot of wonderful friends. I played flute in the orchestra. Mr. Bird was my favorite teacher of all time. Went on a lot of field trips with the orchestra, incl. Yellowstone Park and California. I was Sterling Scholar for music, although it should have been Clive Romney. There were some amazing musicians in that group! Had a little gang of girlfriends I chummed with. We called ourselves, "Group." Most of them were in Choir so, with me in orchestra, I have a lot of music-related memories. I was a member of Pep Club my Junior Year. The drill teams do much more complicated routines nowdays than we did, but it was a blast to wear that cute uniform and march around making a big letter "S" and wave my pompoms. As a senior, I joined Wings, the girl's service club, in which I was vote the historian. Many fun adventures and friends came from those two groups. I can still sing every word of the Skyline fight song ... Skyline Eagles, Skyline Eagles: B-E-S-T, Best! and the School hymn. I remember the roof leaking and garbage cans in the halls and classes. I remember the school proms and was helped decorate a couple. We still keep in touch today. Enjoyed many activities and dates with Terry Brewer and later married him when he got back from his mission to Finland. We had four kids and now have 9 grandkids. Because we are both Eagle alumni, Terr and I have many shared memories of Skyline. It was a HUGE part of our lives and we still hold the blue and gold dear.
