I have had a great life and enjoy my family and friends. Since high school:
-Mission: I served a LDS mission in England and Wales from 1967-1969.
-Football: I started officiating high school football in 1969. You can blame me for getting Jack McDonald involved. Jack and I actually officiated with another Skyline alum - Roger Healy. I officiated at the high school level from 1969 - 2001. I had the opportunity to officiate many state high school championship games - some involving Skyline. I quit officiating when I had learned all the swear words possible to learn.
-School: I am a 1972 graduate in accounting from the University of Utah.
-Family: I married Mary Cottam (Highland, class of 1966) in 1972. We were blessed with five children and now 17 grandchildren. It is a blessing to have the kids and grandkids gather at our house. Four of the five kids and 14 of 17 grandkids live between Logan and American Fork.
Work: I worked as a CPA for Peat Marwick from 1972-1975.
Tracy Collins Bank as chief financial officer 1975-1984.
I have been a stock broker since 1974 working at Shearson Lehman, Piper Jaffray and D.A. Davidson.
I am still working and enjoying every minute of it. I have worked with my son, Greg, for the last 11 years and have no plans to retire or quit anytime soon. After all, Mary told me 'I married you for better or for worse but not for lunch - so keep getting up and going to work'.
Hobbies: Running (now walking with back issues), travel, reading, sitting by the pool and grandkids.
